JOINING THE 7TH DIVISON Empty
PostSubject: 7th Division Captain   JOINING THE 7TH DIVISON I_icon_minitimeTue Jun 16, 2009 6:03 am

Shinigami sheet:

Name: Houka Kyoubou
Age: Appearance Age: 25, Chronological Age (Real Age): 346
Sex: Male

Appearance: https://2img.net/h/i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/nteach/5thSquadCaptain.png

Hair: Houka’s hair isn’t styled in any particular way, seemingly thrown together as he gets out of bed every morning. His hair is dark red in color, but seems to be softened if caught in the light of day as if specks of dust were caught in it. For the most part, Houka is seen wearing it in a spiky fashion normally hanging off of the right side of his face.

Eye color: The pupil’s of Houka’s eyes are the same dark red color of his hair, again seemingly softened when seen in the light. Houka is also known to wear black eye-liner underneath and around the edges both of his eyes.

Height: 6 foot even
Weight: 180 lbs.

Weakness: Houka’s most notable weakness is that he is not very fast, nor very adept in the use of the Shinigami art of Shunpo. While most Captains are able to move at a decent speed during Shunpo, and considerably far, Houka shows no aptitude at this skill whatsoever. It has been noted that even 5th Seated members of the Gotei 13 are faster and more adept at Shunpo than Houka is. Houka is also unable to use any two hand required Kido, and is unable to produce Kido from his left arm/hand. Houka also does not know any form of Ways of Destruction Kidou.

Distinctive marks: Besides the noticeable black eye-liner around his eyes, Houka has a large gash that runs from his left shoulder to his right hip, that is covered at all times by a black sash that he wears over his chest. Houka’s left arm is also burnt from his shoulder down to his fingertips, but is always concealed with bandages that are wrapped completely around his arm and hand. Houka’s last noticeable feature is a tattoo on his right wrist that is merely a black spiral that starts at his forearm, and spirals around his wrist to the palm of his hand.

Clothing:

Head wear: N/A

Top: The 7th Squad Captain wears a standard black Shinigami uniform underneath his white Captain haori, with one alteration. The left side of his uniform is neatly removed from the entire attire, and reveals his chest and left arm when worn. Houka also wears a black sash that runs from his left shoulder to his right hip, and around his back, to cover a large scar on his chest from site, this sash goes underneath his uniform. The symbol for the 7th Division sits in the middle of the white haori’s back.

Pants: Houka adorns a normal black Shinigami hakama, the uniform being tied together at the waist by a white sash that is also used to support the sheath for his Zanpakuto. Houka’s hakama runs from his waist down to his ankles, and has no splits in any of the fabric.

Hand wear: Houka has no hand wear, however, always wears a large bandage that winds around his left arm and hand from his shoulder to his fingertips.

Shoes: N/A

Gigai Clothing:

Head wear: When in his Gigai, Houka gains a baseball-like cap that he wears sideways with the bill pointed outward to his left, hanging off of the left side of his head in a ‘gangster-like’ style.

Top: Houka has no shirt or top in his Gigai body, instead he walks around shirtless. However, he does maintain the black sash that runs from his shoulder to his right hip, to hide the large scar across his chest.

Pants: During his Gigai state, Houka adorns normal blue jeans that sit just below his waste-line, and run down to his heels in length. The blue jeans are baggy, and are held to his waste by a black leather belt.

Hand wear: Houka gains no hand wear in his Gigai, however, his left arm is still completely bandaged.

Shoes: Houka sports human sneakers in his Gigai form.

Personality: Houka’s personality can be defined by two distinctive words, ‘Pride’ and ‘Loyalty’. The 7th Squad Taichou is one of the most loyal Shinigami in all of the Gotei 13, having followed every single order given to him to its exact specifications ever since entering the thirteen protective squads. Soul Society and those who serve it are the most precious things in Houka’s life, and he himself would die to defend either one without hesitation. Those who stand in the way of the completion of an order given to him will be cut down by his blade without hesitation, without even a passing glimpse. Along with that unwavering loyalty comes a sense of pride only known throughout the 7th Division itself. Any and all under Houka’s command know his pride for Soul Society, they feel it and breathe it every day they follow him, and as a result have come to adopt this sense of pride in their duty as well. Houka is truly an awe inspiring leader.

Likes: Western style chess, heat, pride in one’s self, a good work ethic, loyalty.

Dislikes: Dishonesty, pessimism, not following orders.

Seat: 1 (Captain)

Zanpakuto:

Zanpakuto’s name: Sabaku Koudo (Desert Wasteland)

Zanpakuto’s seal state appearance: When sealed, Sabaku Koudo appears as a normal Japanese style katana. The length of the sword from butt to blade tip is three feet four inches, and the hilt is wrapped in a diamond pattern, red with black diamond’s running down each side of the hilt. The tsuba of the blade is in a rectangular shape, and is merely gold in color with no special designs or additions.

Shikai release words: Kakou, Sabaku Koudo (Fall, Desert Wasteland)

Shikai appearance: When released, the blade of Sabaku Koudo dissolves into a mass of sand, and an even larger mass of sand is expelled from the sheath of the sword. The hilt and the sheath do not change, nor does Houka’s clothing, but when the blade is released, and amount of sand weighing exactly half of ton (453.6 kilograms) will then be accumulated around Houka.

Shikai abilities: Sabaku Koudo grants the user complete control over the natural element of sand. Not only does the blade create an amount of sand for the user to control at their will, but it also allows the user to control sand already present that was created by nature. There is no limit to the amount of sand the user is able to control during the Shikai release, but only sand that is within a 100 yard radius of the user is able to be controlled.

Along with this ability, Sabaku Koudo also grants the user the ability to naturally harden the sand under their control to the denseness of the katana itself. This means that while the sand is able to be manipulated, it is also able to deflect attacks from other Zanpakuto, and even cut opponents who may come in contact with the sand.

Bankai's name: Endai Sabaku Koudo (Grand Desert Wasteland)

Bankai appearance: Upon uttering the single word ‘Bankai’, Sabaku Koudo’s hilt and sheath explode violently in a rush of sand. An unimaginable amount of sand is expelled from both of these remaining objects, and floods an area equivalent to one spirit mile in a desert of sand. The equivalent weight of all of this sand is unknown, but if mounded together, would easily be able to crush most of the Seireitei. Houka is forbidden from releasing his Bankai in Soul Society, due to the damage this desert would cause when released. Houka’s Bankai is not one that changes the shape of his blade, but instead, greats a massive entity that is his blade.

Bankai ability: Endai Sabaku Koudo grants the user the ability to manipulate an entire desert worth of sand, with the use of only the user’s hands. By using his hands, Houka can manipulate the sand his Bankai has produced, as well as any other naturally or artificially made sand within the radius of one spirit mile around himself, and form it in any way he wills.

This Bankai also retains its ability to harden itself to the density of the katana itself, making the user able to protect himself from other Zanpakuto and attacks, as well as cut enemies with the hardened and newly formed sand. Endai Sabaku Koudo also grants Houka one named ability:

Kisei Tama (Death Sphere) – By manipulating the sand around himself, Houka is able to create a large sphere around his opponent completely made of sand. This sphere is as hard as a steel blade, and when formed, creates large spikes on the interior of the sphere. Houka will outstretch his hand, palm open, and then close his hand into a fist, in which the sphere will collapse into itself, forcing the spikes to run the enemy through. Because the sand is as dense as his original sword, and the form is sharpened, these spikes can easily cut any opponent down.

Kido:
30. Beak-Stab Triple Beam
61. Six Rods Prison of Light
62. Hundred Steps Fence
No known Way of Destruction Kidou.

Other weapons: N/A

History:

Houka Kyoubou was born August 29th, under the actual name of Danzou Moreno, part Japanese on his mother’s side and part Spanish on his father’s side. Houka was born in a small village on Okinawa Island in Japan, where his mother had lived all of her life. His father was a Spanish explorer, who took one of the Japanese natives as his wife, and couldn’t leave her behind after impregnating her before his ship was to set sail again. He was born into a poor family, one that sought riches but found only despair, but believed that love was all that they needed for their family to get them through the years. Houka’s father built up his own plantation of rice and sweet corn, which had a terrible crop each and every year, and his mother spent her time raising him, in hopes that he would have a better life.

Houka showed signs of progression at a very early age, beginning to walk and talk way before the normal age of infants. His mother, who believed this was a sign, pleaded with the local nobles to send him away to be taught greater and better things than what she and this small village could teach him. Unfortunately, the nobles of the area were too arrogant and self absorbed to give them, common trash, a second look as they passed them on the street. It was a well known fact that nobles in that era paid no attention to the commoners and poor people of the villages, going so far as to kill them for fun or when they needed to take over land for more crops. Despite the fact that their son would not gain a higher education, Houka’s family still worked just as hard to provide for themselves and their son.

At age five, Houka, then known as Danzou, began helping his father in his fields, doing easy but necessary tasks to help bring in good crops. He would set himself to moving bags of seed and fertilizer from the shed to where his father was working, building up his strength at an early age and learning respect for his father and the other farmers in the area. Every day a local dairy farmer would drop by, requesting sweet corn or rice for his family, and in return would provide milk and eggs for Houka’s family. At later ages, the young man never understood why his father would take those deals, being a necessity for themselves as well as a source of income, their crops were everything to them and they could easy get milk or eggs themselves. Though the nobles looked down upon them, Houka was always taught to respect them above all, and respect his fellow commoner, even beggars.

At age seven, Houka was already seeming to help run the small crop with his father, being able to do every task that his father set him, including plowing the field with the large oxen. In truth, he enjoyed the time he spent with his father, though working in the fields from morning until night; he enjoyed the bond he shared with him, as well as his stories of the sea. Houka’s father told him stories of grand adventures, traveling hundreds of miles on the open sea far away from a home he called ’Spain’ in search of riches and beauty. He especially loved his father’s story of how he fell in love with his mother, which is the story he asked his father to tell him every morning before they started work. At age ten, the family began to be able to afford the fee to send Houka to school, which displeased him at first due to the lack of actual work in school which he was used to in the fields, but also because he missed his father, and the time they had spent together.

There were other reasons Houka came to hate school as well, the nobles. The schools were unfortunately for some, integrated with nobles and commoners alike. Every day he was picked on for being poor, barely being able to afford the rags he wore to school, but at the time it didn’t faze him. Houka would continue with his day as if nothing had happened, hoping that the next day would be better, but to no avail. When Houka was age fifteen, he graduated the school he was in early, being one of the smartest in his class, though the poorest, which made the nobles of the village very jealous. One night when his family was sleeping, the nobles came to their house and burned their entire crops to the ground, there was nothing the family could do but stand and watch as their food and money for that year went down in a fiery blaze of ash and heat. It was then that Houka swore revenge on the nobles for believing they were higher than him, higher than his family, he would one day be higher than them.

At age twenty, the young man and his family boarded a ship as stowaways, heading toward Spain. They successfully made their voyage across the ocean to Spain, and there found work as farmers once more, this time in more suitable lodgings. When Houka turned twenty-two, both his mother and father passed away from an illness unknown at that era, and so he was left alone to fend for himself. At age twenty-five, he had turned himself into a very successful farmer, outmatching all the other crops in the area by a very wide margin, and bringing in enough income for him to actually begin to raise his one family, but with money and food come competition. What started as competition, turned to murder, as the other farmers of the area banded together to burn down Houka’s crops once more, but this time, the fire spread wildly and caught his house on fire, burning Houka alive inside. The man known as Danzou Moreno died that day, and became a spirit.

When Danzou arrived in Soul Society, he was immediately integrated into a small tight-knit family that took them under his wing. Renaming him Houka Kyoubou, it came to a surprise to the entire family that immediately after entering Soul Society, Houka began to get hungry. Souls were said to never get hungry, and that feeling hunger was a sign of having spiritual power. The family hid Houka with them, to keep him from the clutches of Seireitei and the Shinigami, but it was only a matter of time. Merely three years after his arrival in the Rukongai, Houka was whisked away to the Shinigami Academy, and within a year and a half, had graduated and attained a position in the Gotei 13.

After spending countless years of loyal and prideful service to the 7th Division, Houka quickly moved up the ranks in his squad, gaining the respect of all that fell under his command, and even his superiors. It wasn’t long before he was named Lieutenant under the previous 7th Division Captain. After countless fought battles with Hollow and Arrancar alike, it wasn’t a surprise when hundreds of years later, when his Captain fell, that Houka Kyoubou was named the 7th Division Captain in his stead. It was then that he truly gained the respect of the entire 7th Division, and with no objections from anyone, he spearheaded a turning point within his entire division. Pride and Loyalty became the keen aspects of the division, each and every man increasing their mission success rate by at least 20% in the first year alone. With this new sense of pride, Houka now sits at the head of his division, guiding and leading the members of his squad to overcome all.

JOINING THE 7TH DIVISON Empty
PostSubject: Re: JOINING THE 7TH DIVISON   JOINING THE 7TH DIVISON I_icon_minitimeSun Jan 03, 2010 12:50 pm

Name: Riamu Biruhira

Age: Appears 24 but is over 900 years old

Sex: Male

Appearance: Tall, lightly tanned skin, and svelte

Hair: Burgundy and black medium length with the back longer than the front. Essentially a mullet but the front hair is long as well

Eye color: Orange

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 189 lbs

Weakness: A scar on his back that right in the epicenter of it is a very sensitive spot. If struck by anything blunt or cut, it will render him immoble. And also a bad left wrist that acts up when he moves it around too much, reducing his sword handling to his right hand.

Distinctive marks: A tattoo of petals made to look like they wilted from a flower and stop in a pile at his stomach.

Clothing:

Head wear: A hemp made headband that is red and beige striped long ways

Top: Standard sinigami top under the Squad seven haori. The haori is altered to look more like a cape tied around his shoulders.

Pants: Regular hakama pants

Hand wear: None

Shoes: Sandals, typical

Gigai Clothing:

Head wear: None

Top: A tight black shirt with the emblem of a dog skull on the front. A grey vest covers most of the shirt and is usually buttoned up.

Pants: Grey jeans with black scarves tied to them at the knee. The scarves trail almost touching the ground.

Hand wear: Gray and black fingerless gloves with the number 7 burned into them.

Shoes: Black and grey hightop converses

Personality: Riamu is a laid back and carefree person. If given nothing to do, he'll laze around, widdle small statues, and do nothing until directed to do something or until he actually gets up to do something. When fighting, Riamu is very focused on the battle and isn't the easiest person to distract. But due to his lazy personallity, he does not really battle much. So if he asks, it usually means something important.

Likes: Sunny days, snowy sunny days, early spring and late fall. His wooden carvings collection and smoking, certain hallucination causing drugs.

Dislikes: Super cold weather, when his cigarettes are taken away, when his so called 'medicine' is taken away, foolhardy people, and constant fight lovers (i.e. machines)

Seat: 4th Seat

Zanpakuto:

Zanpakuto’s name: Runrunkibun Kudaketataido (The Euphoric Attitude)

Zanpakuto’s seal state appearance: Runrunkibun Kudaketataido takes the form of a regular katana with a magenta and purple threaded swirled hilt and a zig-zag pattern for a guard. The blade's tip is colored a light pink and can not be removed by anything.

Shikai release words: "Let the Mood Transcend Higher..."

Shikai appearance: To people not battling Riamu, nothing changes in the zanpakuto. It appears just as normal as normal can be, but to the person or people fighting him, the zanpakuto his taken on the shape of a staff with a daisy head at the top. The look of it reminds one of a magician's wand with a flower growing from the top of it.

Shikai abilities: Once again, since the people not fighting Raimu cannot see the changes, nothing happens. Those fighting him are introduced to an inverted colored world filled with flowers of all kinds and multiple running streams and rivers. In order to see this, you must not only fight him, but his blade must strike something that is touching you, like a clothing article or a strand of hair.

The main ability for his shikai is story time. In the invertedly colored world he has the ability to tell what is going on. For instance, if he says that the person he is fighting is stranded on an island, the scenery changes to an island, and if he adds on to it, in example if he says that there are man eating palm trees on the island, then the trees will come alive and try to devour the person. The whole thing is mostly like a dream and the most common way to break out of it is if Raimu sheaths the zanpakuto and pulls it out again.

The biggest drawback to the shikai is that the opponent has the same effect on the enviornment as well. But due to this, he never reveals it and leaves the opponent to fend for themselves.

Bankai's name: (need permission to have Bankai)

Bankai appearance:

Bankai ability:

Kido:

History: Born in the year 1421 in Prekmurje to a Gaulic mother and a father of Germanic roots, Raimu, then named Gingivive, lived a life as a serf, tilling the land and tending to the animals for the King. When he was a young boy, Gingivive would listen to the stories about the plague by his mother and father, and recieve stories from other family memebers about the war that was going on in France. Determined to become something more than a meaningless serf, Gingivive, after his fourteenth birthday decided to run away and join the French army to fight against the British. Disguising himself as a French soldier, despite his young age, he fought alongside his supposed allies and eventually helped win a few battles.

Years passed and the proud fourteen year old had grown into a herioc young man, age 23, and a proud soldier about a figurehead to all new recruits. Stories of his bravery starting from when he joined at the young age of fourteen and how he helped turn the tide of the war reached from encampment to encampment and eventually from town to town, all the way to his parents. The serf couple were overjoyed not for the fact that their son had helped in the war, but that he was safe and alright and very successful. But their sigh of relief would be cut short in exactly seven months time.

It was a winter night in Rheims and the infantry had buckled down for the evening, feeling hopeful of an easy victory the next day. Gingivive, overly exhausted but in perfect spirits decided to head inside his tent alongside his troops. In the forest surrounding the men, four English archers slowly made their way towards the camp, flint tipped arrows in their quivers and bows strung tight ready for their mission: to kill the supposed French war hero and legend. They made their way to the camp quietly placing arrows to their strings and aiming for the silhouetted figure in the animal skinned tent. With a motion faster than lightning, the arrows flew towards the same target and the longbow men watched Gingivive's body fall to the ground. An arrow protruded from his torso, two found themselves in his stomach and the last in his neck, killing him instantly.

There was an air of confusion for hours and when they finally found the dead leader's body, mourning ensued and his body was burnt on the pyre and a message sent to his parents. The twenty year old leader, legend and hero had been silenced for good.

Gingivive had become a soul to wander around the camp grounds and look around for his departed troops. For years he wandered those abandoned campgrounds not knowing that the war was almost over and his men all dead and buried with the others. Eventually, his soul made its way to the Soul Society and there he lived a simple life, meeting up with old friends and comrades and living in great spirits.

Once 500 years had passed before Gingivive had even decided to even venture back out to his old home, and when he arrived, the place had changed so much, it was too much for the ancient war hero. Out of fear and confusion, the 24 year old never returned to France again and vowed not to. But life in the Soul Society was a very caustious thing for him as well. After spending so much time in the vast land, the customs were still far too foreign to him and one accident after another ensued until the ultimate crime had been commited, one from which his mind never returned from after this day.

An uneventful evening for the manturned into one full of events and strange thing after an accidental fall. Walking down to the store for some items for dinner on a snowy eve, Gingivive slipped down a few stairs, hitting his head hard on the sandstone bottom and fell into a light coma for a few years. Friends worried about his condition and even stayed by his bed side, despite the low chance that he would recover.

After eight long years, Gingivive awakened to a strange room and place, wondering who he was, and who everyone else was. Horrified of the amnesia friend tried to remind him of his past life, but one friend stopped that plan cold. Seeing that his old life was uneventful and full of accidents, all friends of his decided to give him a new personallity and even a new name that seemed to fit his new lifestyle: painkillers and LSD he recieved from sources unknown.

Gingivive was dead but out of his old life, Riamu, the romanization of Liam, was born. A man with a carefree lifestyle that was strung out most of the time on Acid and other things. Stories of hilarious adventures ensued and soon one story that stood out from the rest made its way around. A man with bright blue and grey hair speaking to him and telling him information. People thought it was a joke and he himself did too until it kept reappearing and reappearing. And the more it appeared, the more people wanted to listen to the hilarious story. A few people, them being Shinigami, began to suspect that this wasn't a crazy drug induced dream but something of importance.

One night after another one of those high induced dreams, he awoke to find three shinigami at his bedside. Freaking out and defending himself the only way he knew how, by hitting at them, he made his way outside but only to be stopped by others. Telling him of his dreams and how they weren't drug related, Riamu was interested in the offer they presented him. Nodding and enrolling in the academy the week after, Raimu became a instant celebrity in the academy and passed all classes despite being strung out on drugs most of the time.

After long, tiring, and boring years as an academy student, Riamu made his way into the seventh division as fourth seat, something he never imagined getting. Now with a clear (but seemingly cloudy and strung out mind), he set his goals to become Captain. The carefree storyteller had a goal, and for once, it wasn't to find the purple dinosuar that constantly ruined his flower patch.
